Message from David Y. H. Pui, IARA President (2006-2010)

    With IARA Board’s approval, I am pleased to unveil the inaugural edition of the “Aerosol Pioneers” on the IARA website.  The project started one year ago when I suggested the idea to the IARA Board. The Board endorsed it with enthusiasm.  I would like to particularly thank the outstanding efforts by the authors of the biographies.
    Editor Gilmore J. Sem has deliberately not provided rigid guidelines to the authors so that the articles are original, diverse and interesting to read.  I would also like to thank Chuen-Jinn Tsai for preparing the biographies for posting and for maintaining the IARA website.  Many of the Pioneers have already been memorialized by the Aerosol Awards conferred regularly by our member associations.  We hope that these biographies will serve as a constant source of inspiration for our younger colleagues.
